According to official reports the standoff between Kerala Film Producers Association and Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation, which began since December 16th has been resolved. Reportedly, the Exhibitors associations have backed down their demand for 50 percent revenue share of box-office collection. The decision was made followed by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s intervention. As per the reports, the exhibitors have now agreed to follow the same old 40:60ratio revenue share (60 percent revenue for Producers) for the time being till the Government arrives at a decision. The big Christmas releases that have been postponed indefinitely – Mohanlal’s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Prithviraj’s Ezra, Dulquer Salmaan’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Jayasurya’s Fukri — will finally get a release date soon. More details will be updated soon!
