Prithviraj Sukumaran stars as an aimless alcoholic in this warm-hearted drama. Pambu Joy’s (Prithviraj Sukumaran) life is in a mess. He is an alcoholic and lives each day without any aims, aspirations or responsibilities. But after visiting a rehab centre, he bumps into an old friend and begins to reflect on his life. “Paavada is an entertainer and not a suspense thriller,” says director G. Marthandan. “It is a tale of friendship of a different kind; an unlikely friendship between two people, one old and one young, from vastly different socio-economic backgrounds; a friendship that’s forged over a bottle, or several bottles, for that matter.” Prithviraj Sukumaran is remarkable as the unfortunate Joy in this heartwarming entertainer from Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus director G. Marthandan. The film’s songs, meanwhile, are composed by Aby Tom Cyriac with lyrics written by BK Hari Narayanan.
